Beyond the physical aspects, I think you'd have to find some internal motivation/conviction or get yourself in to a situation where you feel more pressure to not relapse than to use again. Depending on your personality and what drives you, that could be a 12-step program, group therapy, time with family, a couple of classes in community college, a yoga or meditation retreat, exercise, or maybe even eating fresh habanero peppers.

I don't think there's any one definite path to recovery, but starting on A path is a beginning. One thing all the various therapeutic approaches involve, though, is a process of getting to know yourself and ushering in a period of growth and change. You gotta want it!
