Dusted white with snow!

Submitted by Dopamine on Sun, 03/12/2006 - 00:19.

Most of my energies as of late have been focused on school and life outside of school. I was talking to a friend on the phone the other day who pointed out to me that when I graduate with a bachelors degree (in two years), it will be exactly 30 years ago that I enrolled at another university. So it has taken me 30 years to get my degree. The point here is that anything can happen if we allow ourselves to let "it" happen. I'm not really sure what "it" is but I do know what "it" is not. "It" is getting up in the morning and walking to College of the Desert. "It" is having faith, letting go and believing that if I stay off the stuff life really gets fabulous. I'm really feeling quite harmonious (love that word) and faithful today. I guess you could say I'm in a state of well-being.
The mountains here in the desert are dusted white with snow. The San Jacinto mountains rise 8,000 feet from the desert floor and usually you see the snow at the very top ridge but this morning when I awoke the snow was half way down the mountain. It's beautiful and cold here now, people don't expect to get 40 degree weather when they come to vacation here but guess what? Life is great right now because I'm not using and I would not even give a goddamn about those mountains if I was high. New perspective and I'm loving it. Be well everyone. Live each day. More will be revealed.
